In this Fox News report with Eric Shawn, Danny discusses the legal ramifications of the Ukraine whistleblower complaint. In Danny’s opinion is the most important thing is that the whistleblower needs to do is go to the proper authority first and also get a lawyer to protect himself. Danny furthers his argument by questioning, “What matters is who generated the complaint?”
When probed about procedure Danny contemplates the importance of finding out who prompted the investigation before going any further. Similarly, he discusses the motivation of the informer and questions who prompted the whistleblowers to come forward? Was it the informant himself? Or did someone other than the whistleblower prompt him to make the complaint? Danny further stresses that information such as this should always be first-hand and never distilled through other sources.
